Our project since last Monday. My supervisor Clayton Muhammad is also the founder of the non-profit organization Boys2Men here in Aurora and around the nation. It was at the Gaslite Manor and over 1000 people were in attendance including the Mayor, sherif of Kane county, the chief police of Aurora, Aldermans, amongst many more. I was honored to be named one of the seven Phenomenal Men of the year. My contributions to helping Mr. Muhammad with the event was the rsvps. I collected the information from voicemails and emails and organize it in an excel spread. I also responded to emails and edited the emails that Clayton sent out.

I'm enjoying being an intern down in Aurora's Public Information and Communications department down in City Hall. I get to work with a number of wise, professional and kind staff that makes it a fun working environment. I have done a lot of logistic research for the city in comparison to other cities of Illinois to see what we can do from a social media standpoint to compete with those locations. I have had the opportunity to also research logistics for highschools in the surrounding areas as well as the Chicago land area. I've been here at my internship since mid-October and had the opportunity to dabble in a few projects and get a taste of different fields of communication such as; public relations, marketing and broadcast media. Once I figure out how to add pictures and file to my blogs, I will post them. Never in my life would I had thought I be in the position I am in now with the city and my university. I am definitely humbled and grateful, and can not wait to give you an insight of my internship experience. Stay tuned!
